Sundas, 23rd of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 7

It’s a new day so hopefully a new start.  I think I’ll take it easy today, read, visit shops, might do some wood cutting for the inn’s owner and of course give the tablet to the Jarl’s Mage.

Just my luck, the first thing I do is to go visit the Jarl’s Mage, and mid-way through our conversation the dragon attacks and I’m sent off with the guards to defeat it… So much for a quiet day.

Damn, damn, damn and double damn I just killed a dragon.  I just killed a creature out of legend itself and now I can shout using some kind of super voice which apparently means I’m a Dragonborn.  I know a little about it from my books but still have no real idea what this means.

As I entered Whiterun, a courier reached me and gave me a letter from someone who claims to be a friend, the letter tells me I should go to Mount Anthor as it holds a source of power that can only be unlocked by a Dragonborn.  Now I just need to find this place.

Well I needed time to think things through so I went for a drink in the Bannered Mare and ended up speaking to Uthgerd the Unbroken and she challenged me to brawl duel which I of course accepted – I can’t be seen backing down from a fight. I of course won and she agreed to follow me which will come in handy when I next venture abroad.

It wasn’t late but I decided that I would stay the night, do some reading and get freshened up for my visit to Dragonsreach in the morning. Before sleep however, I was able to finish books 3 & 4 of The Brief History of the Empire, which was interesting to hear the short stories of the emperors and how they lived and died.

Tirdas, 18th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 2

I woke up bright and early so I could get a head start and look round the village. I heard last night that the local woodcuters were looking for work so I thought I’d spend the day chopping wood and learning to use the forge.

I ventured into the local store and spoke to the owners who were having an argument about a gold claw which I promised to get back for them. The owner’s sister tried to escort me out of the village but I had to go back and finish my training at the blacksmiths.

I did run into the owner of the lumber and she told me to speak to her husband about getting some work. Read more of this post
