I have just seen the most beautiful images of earth from the ISS and I wanted to share with everyone. I’m not sure why but this video gives me great hope for the potential of the human race. If we can build these great machines that go into space that produce images of our beautiful world then why can’t we use this technological might to do more for our planet and the billions that live on it.

Defense Grid is arguably the best Tower Defense game ever made. It has a 3D world, with lots of replay-ability and a small but interesting storyline, and Hidden Path, the creators of Defence Grid, are trying to make a sequel with a much greater storyline. They are trying to raise 1 million dollars but have contingency plans for 500k and 250k. As of today there are still 28 days left of the campaign.
This game is near and dear to my heart as it is an example of what a TD could be if it was produced by main stream developers instead of the current batch of flash versions (which, don’t get me wrong, I love and play myself).
