Tirdas, 25th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 9

Well today I plan on getting one or two items for my house and then head out of town to do some hunting.

Spoke to Ysolda who asked for a mammoth tusk to help her buy the Bannered Inn. I thought I had one in my chest back at Breezehome so I went and had a look, if I didn’t I could always get one when I was out hunting. I knew there were three mammoths near a pair of the giants.

As it so happens I did have one so I gave it to Ysolda. She helped me learn about speech craft which was good. Read more of this post

Sundas, 23rd of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 7

It’s a new day so hopefully a new start.  I think I’ll take it easy today, read, visit shops, might do some wood cutting for the inn’s owner and of course give the tablet to the Jarl’s Mage.

Just my luck, the first thing I do is to go visit the Jarl’s Mage, and mid-way through our conversation the dragon attacks and I’m sent off with the guards to defeat it… So much for a quiet day.

Damn, damn, damn and double damn I just killed a dragon.  I just killed a creature out of legend itself and now I can shout using some kind of super voice which apparently means I’m a Dragonborn.  I know a little about it from my books but still have no real idea what this means.

As I entered Whiterun, a courier reached me and gave me a letter from someone who claims to be a friend, the letter tells me I should go to Mount Anthor as it holds a source of power that can only be unlocked by a Dragonborn.  Now I just need to find this place.

Well I needed time to think things through so I went for a drink in the Bannered Mare and ended up speaking to Uthgerd the Unbroken and she challenged me to brawl duel which I of course accepted – I can’t be seen backing down from a fight. I of course won and she agreed to follow me which will come in handy when I next venture abroad.

It wasn’t late but I decided that I would stay the night, do some reading and get freshened up for my visit to Dragonsreach in the morning. Before sleep however, I was able to finish books 3 & 4 of The Brief History of the Empire, which was interesting to hear the short stories of the emperors and how they lived and died.

Loredas, 22nd of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 6

My sleep was fitful and not very restful.  I needed a bed and I knew it. I handed over the claw to the trader and make my way back to Whiterun so I could have a proper sleep there.

Shortly after returning the claw and receiving 400 Gold I was attacked by hired thugs.  I put them down easily enough but it worried me that someone knew I had stolen various items.  I needed to be more careful in future.

I ventured onto the plains surrounding Whiterun in search of game.  Was quite a good trip – I met some giants, although I did avoid them; and even some blasted elves taking a poor fool to be tortured for knowledge of Talos.

After some successful exploring and hide gathering I set off back to Whiterun for a good night’s rest. I travelled to the hall of the Companions to rest in a proper bed.

Fredas, 21st of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 5

Well, it’s time to head back to Riverwood and then on to Bleak Falls Barrow.

Just as a I reached the bridge to Riverwood I found a path that, if my map was true, would lead me to Bleak Falls Barrow.

God, that ride up the hill was cold, encountered a few bandits in some kind of outpost but they were no match for me.  At the top of the mountain at the entrance to the Barrow were a number more bandits. I can only guess that inside was going to be swarming with them. Its going to be good exercise.

I can only imagine what this place looked like before it fell to rack and ruin. It must have been a great hall with roaring fires, barrels of mead and great men singing great battle songs.  Now I know it was a temple, but still the vision of the great hall refuses to leave me. The views from up there were staggering, how I wish I could have seen it in the old times.  Instead it’s just a shell of a hall with the inside infested with bandits. How the mighty have fallen. Turdas, 20th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 4

It’s a new day and I was determined to warn the local Jarl about the dragon threat to Riverwood. I spoke to the Jarl and he rewarded me for delivering the story of Helgen and charged me to find a tablet in Bleak Falls Barrow for his mage Farengar.

I decided to look round the Jarl’s house before leaving and I did some practice on his locked cabinets. I didn’t take much, just an Elven sword and a necklace, I do normally try to be good. Although I did find an unusual gem which I decided to get appraised.  So I’m not all good, but I only take from those who can afford to miss what I take, I do fight and defend those who need my sword. So after doing an errand or two I realised how late it was, so decided to get some sleep and head out first thing in the morning

Middas, 19th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 3

Well it’s a new day, so I have decided to get up early and head towards Whiterun.  On my way out of town I saw Faendal who thanked me for helping him with Camilla.

The road to Whiterun can be dangerous, its a lucky thing I’m good with my swords, pesky wolves kept attacking me. I did find a number of ingredients for potion making which I thought might come in handy to either sell or mix up something. I must remember to keep an eye out for the more exotic samples.

My first glimps of Whiterun impressed me. It was larger than I was expecting and much higher.  It gave me hope of finding work and fellowship there. Read more of this post

Tirdas, 18th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 2

I woke up bright and early so I could get a head start and look round the village. I heard last night that the local woodcuters were looking for work so I thought I’d spend the day chopping wood and learning to use the forge.

I ventured into the local store and spoke to the owners who were having an argument about a gold claw which I promised to get back for them. The owner’s sister tried to escort me out of the village but I had to go back and finish my training at the blacksmiths.

I did run into the owner of the lumber and she told me to speak to her husband about getting some work. Read more of this post

Morndas, 17th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 1

Today is most definitely a bad day.  I was crossing the border from my village to get work in the next village when I was ambushed by Imperial troops.  They seemed very excited by someone else who was ahead of me and they thought I was one of his troops.

I was bound and thrown onto a cart and taken to Helgin. With me was a thief, a soldier and an Alfric Storm Cloak. General Talius was taking us to be executed.  As I said, it was a bad day.

I’m a Redguard, born and bred for battle. My name is Stave, son of Lews Darksabre, chief of the Redguard clan Treides, and this is my story.

The day just seemed to get worse, not only was I captured by Imperials for supposedly working with the Storm Cloaks but I was now about to be executed. Read more of this post

The Chronicles of Skyrim

Here I am writing a series of diary entries for my adventures in Skyrim. I chronicle the adventures of Stave Darksabre a Redguard and his adventures.  I will write honestly and truthfully about what my character does including the good and the bad.

I won’t cheat, use bugs or any other means to advance my character outside of the original intentions of the developers.  Everything you read here is the happenings of Stave on his adventures in Skyrim.  I will be doing my best to release one a day however there may be times where I put the series on hold for a few days or weeks as I go on holiday (vacation) and the sorts.

If you have any questions let me know and I shall do my best to address them. So I hope you enjoy following the exploits of Stave Darksabre in Skyrim and I hope it excites all those new to Skyrim and brings back fond memories to those who have enjoyed the game already.
