Tirdas, 18th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 2

I woke up bright and early so I could get a head start and look round the village. I heard last night that the local woodcuters were looking for work so I thought I’d spend the day chopping wood and learning to use the forge.
I ventured into the local store and spoke to the owners who were having an argument about a gold claw which I promised to get back for them. The owner’s sister tried to escort me out of the village but I had to go back and finish my training at the blacksmiths.
I did run into the owner of the lumber and she told me to speak to her husband about getting some work.
I received a letter from a guy, Sven, who wanted me to give a lady named Camilla a letter that was supposed to be written by Gerdur. She was quite upset by the underhanded approach, it’ll be interesting to see what happens if I get the chance to find out.
I found Hod, husband of Gerdur, and he offered me some work, chopping firewood. I needed money so I spent the rest of the day with an axe in my hand. After an exhausting day of swinging that axe I felt awfully overloaded but I made it to Hod to get paid, managed to earn 1140 Gold. I was happy and exhausted so decided to grab a room at the Sleeping Giant Inn, get some rest and do some reading.
I was speaking to the bar keeper and he gave me a bounty notice on the bandit leader at Valthein, sounds like a job I can handle, some money in it too, all the better.
I read The Book of Dragonborn I found in the dungeons of Helgen, it was an interesting read although it was more a history of the Dragonborn and how each emperor is supposed to be Dragonborn.
