Morndas, 17th of Last Seed, 4E 201 – Day 1

Today is most definitely a bad day. I was crossing the border from my village to get work in the next village when I was ambushed by Imperial troops. They seemed very excited by someone else who was ahead of me and they thought I was one of his troops.
I was bound and thrown onto a cart and taken to Helgin. With me was a thief, a soldier and an Alfric Storm Cloak. General Talius was taking us to be executed. As I said, it was a bad day.
I’m a Redguard, born and bred for battle. My name is Stave, son of Lews Darksabre, chief of the Redguard clan Treides, and this is my story.
The day just seemed to get worse, not only was I captured by Imperials for supposedly working with the Storm Cloaks but I was now about to be executed.
My head was about to be loosed from my shoulders when something so unlikely intervened. A Dragon. Enemy or friend, the dragon saved my life. I found myself being dragged away by one of the soldiers who was presiding over my execution. I was then rushing through the village trying to find safety.
Inside the keep Hadvar my savior let me loose and gave me a sword, I found another one on the wall. I was ready for my escape through the underground keep.
With lots of Storm Cloaks in the keep it was a fun challenge to battle my way to safety. I was able to loot some potions from the store room. I made it to the torture chamber to see Storm Cloaks slaughtering the guards, Hadvar and I made short swift of them. It was in the dungeons here that I found I had a knack for picking locks. I knew this would come in handy as time went on.
My mother insisted that I become literate so that I could become a man who understood the world and not just a man who hacked his way through it. It was under her tutelage that I found that I enjoyed reading, and it was at that point that I decided to read every book I could come accross. So every book I found, could buy or borrow, I would read on those cold nights.
On my trek through the dungeons I found a spell for sparks which I added to my small repertoire of spells. I also found a long bow and arrows just incase I needed to shoot game or the odd bandit.
Spiders, I hate the small spiders and I hate the large ones even more. They die well enough but still I hate them. I found a nest of some kind down there with large egg sacks filled with small eggs, I still get a shiver up my spine.
We finally made it out of the dungeon and caverns to realise it was mid afternoon. Hadvar told me to meet him in Riverwood and that I should speak to his uncle who is a blacksmith there.
Now to get to Riverwood before dark, I didn’t want to be out in the forest without proper supplies. I made best possible speed to the village. I did however find three of the 13 Guardian Stones which shone with a brilliant blue light when I touched the warrior stone.
Not far from Riverwood, Hadvar and I encountered some wolves which weren’t much of a problem but were a welcome distraction from the long walk.
I met Hadvar’s Uncle Alvor who was a nice enough man who taught me the basics of blacksmithing. Alvor’s wife Sigrid had me sit down, eat some food and gave me some supplies.
Alvor begged me to to go to Whiterun to alert the Jarl of the dragon. We sat and talked for a while and he let me use his forge, teaching me what he knew which was very kind of him.
It was getting late. Alvor let me spend the night.

looks good so far can’t wait to read more.
